These are a few of the ways I make a Pisces Puzzle as entertaining and valuable as possible:

Highly interlocking pieces:  I don't know about you, but I like a finished puzzle that holds together if someone bumps the table.  My highly interlocking Pisces Puzzle pieces are 1/4" thick with smooth, wavy edges and a polished back.  They feel great in your hands and make a lovely plunk when you put them together.

"Classic" style of cutting:  Some say this style of interlocking knobs are shaped like "ears" or "hearts."  There are other puzzle-cutting styles, but I feel this one produces the least fragile puzzle pieces.  I want each Pisces Puzzle to last for generations.  For this reason I cut exclusively in the classic style.

Irregular edges:  I love to give the outer margins of a puzzle a sculpted or decorative edge.  It takes far more time to cut, but this feature makes the puzzle more challenging to solve.  This is one of the reasons a Pisces Puzzle is far more valuable than a cardboard puzzle.

Color-line cutting:  Cutting along the border between two adjacent blocks of color in an image is a simple and effective way to befuddle the puzzler.  It also makes a puzzle slightly less interlocking, so I limit my use of this technique.

Drop-outs:  These voids in the puzzle are one of the best tricks I know.  Is it an edge piece, or isn't it?

Figurals:  Known by some as "whimsies" or "silhouettes," these fancy shaped pieces truly distinguish a wooden jigsaw puzzle from its cardboard cousin.  My figurals usually relate to the subject portrayed in the puzzle's image.  I like to place them in appropriate locations in the puzzle, too.  You may specify particular figurals if you order a custom puzzle.  Each and every Pisces Puzzle also includes my two interlocking fish figurals, which are signed and dated on the back. Many figurals are placed so they interact with each other, and some of them are enhanced with intricate cutting.

Split knobs:  Talk about tricky!  When I cut a knob in half like this you'll have a much harder time figuring out which socket fits it.

High quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship:  I use the best saw, the best blades, and high quality 5-ply plywood for my puzzles.  Each puzzle -- each piece! -- is cut one at a time by me.  Each Pisces Puzzle piece is then hand-finished and inspected before it is shipped to you.
